Hutchinson CC Sports Information

A stretch of three losses in four games has cost the Hutchinson Community College men's basketball team a spot in the NJCAA Top 25.

The Blue Dragons fell out of the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball rankings for the first time since February 25, 2014, a span of 53 consecutive polls.

Ranked No. 22 last week, he Blue Dragons dropped their sixth game of the season last Saturday, a 93-58 loss at Garden City.

Hutchinson remains in the receiving votes list, the equivalent of No. 39.

Monday's 74-70 victory doesn't reflect in this poll – voting cycles run each Monday to Sunday. The Blue Dragons play host to Dodge City on Wednesday and travel to Colby on Saturday. That victory over Pratt was Hutchinson's 1,800th victory in program history and No. 1 in the NJCAA.

Jayhawk East leader Coffeyville remains No. 3 in the nation. Jayhawk West leader Seward County is 17th and Barton, second place in the Jayhawk West, is No. 18.

Florida SouthWestern State is No. 1 for the third-straight week. Vincennes is No. 2, followed by Coffeyville, Northwest Florida State and Ranger.
