PARKVILLE, Missouri – A pair of Blue Dragons are two of the top three golfers to lead the No. 6-ranked Hutchinson Community College lead after the opening round of the Park University Fall Classic at the National Golf Club of Kansas City.

The Blue Dragons shot a 304 team total after the first 18 holes on Monday and lead host Park University by three strokes.

Freshman Charlie Herbert led the Blue Dragons in the opening round with an even-par 72 on Monday. He is in second place one shot off the pace of Park's Matt Percy, a former Blue Dragon golfer who shot a 71 in the opening round.

Tied for third with three other players is freshman Charlie Crockett, who had a 1-over 73.

The Blue Dragons had to count a 79 and 80 in their team score on Monday. Freshman Nathan McCulloch is tied for 16th after a 79. Max Smith is tied for 20th after an 80.

Freshman Peyton Austin had an 87 and is tied for 42nd. Sophomore Lake Leroux, playing as an individual, shot an 81 and is tied for 23rd.

The second round will be played on Tuesday morning.
