Hutchinson CC Sports Information
Hutchinson Community College freshman forward Samantha Vaughn was named the Jayhawk Conference Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for her four-goal game against Redlands last Friday.
Vaughn shares the weekly honor with Priscila Bonilla of Butler.
Vaughn, a 5-foot-7 freshman forward from Wichita, posted her first career hat trick in a four-goal game against Redlands in the Blue Dragons' only action of the week. Hutchinson won 13-0.
Vaughn scored two goals in each half, one coming of a corner kick in the first half.
She is the 26th Blue Dragon player to record a four-goal game in program history (the program started in 2005).
Vaughn joins Blue Dragon goalkeeper Chiara Soergel as KJCCC honorees so far this season. Soergel was the Goalkeeper of the Week last week.
