This time, the Dragons closed the set with a Lettries/Morgan Armbrust double block to give Hutch a 25-23 fourth-set victory.
There were six ties and two lead changes in the first 18 points of the fifth set.
Tied at 9-all, Elstun pounded down a kill to give Hutch a one-point lead. Her back-to-back kills boosted the Dragon lead to 13-10 and prompted a Pratt timeout. The teams traded errors to give Hutch a 14-11 lead and Armbrust closed out the match with a kill.
The Blue Dragons won their first five-set match of the season after going 1-5 in five setters last season. This was the first time that Hutchinson and Pratt went to five sets. The last was in 2015 at the Beaverdome.
