EL DORADO – Already cemented among the all-time Top 10 times in Hutchinson Community College women's cross country history, sophomore Hannah Heidebrecht and freshman Maggie Lambert made more history for the Blue Dragons on Saturday at the NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championships at Prairie Nature Golf Course in El Dorado.

Heidebrecht ran the fifth-fastest time in Hutchinson women's cross country history. She owns the ninth-fastest time overall in Blue Dragon history. Lambert, who owns the second-fastest time ever by a Blue Dragon women's runner, posted the seventh-fastest national championship time on Saturday.

Heidebrecht finished 51st overall with a time of 19:38.16. This was Heiebrecht's second sub-20 minute time this season.

Lambert was 56th overall with a tie of 19:43.35. This was her third sub-20 minute time.

Freshman Lindsay Sowersby was 218th in a time of 22:05.99.

Freshman Vianney Sierra placed 274th in a time of 23:57.76.

With only four runners, the Blue Dragons didn't post a team score.

Lansing won the women's team championship in a very tight battle with 103 points. Central Arizona and El Paso both had 106 points, but CAC was national runner-up based on the sixth runner. Allen was the top Jayhawk Conference team, placing seventh.
