HutchCC Sports Information

For the third-straight poll, the Hutchinson Community College women's cross country team remains right in the middle of the NJCAA Division I rankings.

Wednesday's third poll of the season has Hutchinson No. 14. The Blue Dragons are one of six Jayhawk Conference teams in the Top 25.

Hutchinson started the season ranked No. 12 in the September 20 poll. That was the highest national ranking since the 2001 National Championship season. Two weeks ago, the Dragons slipped one spot to No. 13.

The Blue Dragons come off their worst performance of the season on Monday at the Ollie Isom Invitational in El Dorado. Despite a fourth-place finish, the Blue Dragons had their slowing 5K average team time of the season.

Hutchinson has completed its regular season and now prepares for the 2017 Region VI Championships on Monday, October 30 in Garden City.

Iowa Central remains the No. 1 team in the women's rankings.

Cowley is the highest-ranked Jayhawk Conference team at No. 2. Allen is No. 6, Colby No. 8, Butler No. 10 and Highland No. 19.
