Hutchinson Community College sophomore return specialist Kordell Gouldsby didn't get many touches on Saturday, but he made them count.

Gouldsby's third return success put the Blue Dragons in plus yardage and helped No. 1 Hutchinson score early in a 49-7 victory over Highland last Saturday in Highland.

Gouldsby was named the KJCCC Special Teams Player of the Week for the third time this season on Tuesday. He also won the award in back-to-back weeks in Week 7 and Week 8.

Gouldsby opened Saturday's game with a 56-yard kickoff return that set the Dragons up at the Highland 36. Four plays later, the Dragons scored.

Gouldsby also had a 30-yard punt return in the first quarter that led to a field goal. Gouldsby had 96 all-purpose yards against the Scotties.

This is the 12th time the Blue Dragons have had a player earn offensive, defensive or special teams awards this season.

The top-ranked Blue Dragons play host to Garden City at Noon Saturday at Gowans Stadium.
