Hutchinson Community College head coach Drew Dallas has been named 2025 American Community College Football Coaches Association (ACCFCA) Coach of the Year.
This is the second-straight season and third season overall that Dallas has received this national award from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
In 2025, Dallas led the Blue Dragon football team to an 11-1 record, an outright Jayhawk Conference championship and a berth in the NJCAA Division I National Playoffs. The Blue Dragons defeated Northwest Mississippi 27-0 in the national semifinals and fall 28-10 to Iowa Western in the national championship game in Canyon, Texas.
The Blue Dragons were ranked No. 1 in the NJCAA Rankings in the preseason poll and stayed there throughout the season, earning the No. 1 overall seed for the national playoffs.
Dallas, who was also named the 2025 KJCCC Coach of the Year for the fifth time, is now 60-6 in six seasons with the Blue Dragons. Over that span, Dallas has led the Blue Dragons to 10 or more wins in four of his six seasons, six KJCCC titles (5 regular season, 1 playoff), fifth appearances in the national playoffs, four appearances in the national semifinals, four appearances in the national championship game and two national championships in 2020/21 and 2024.
When the Blue Dragons defeated New Mexico Military 76-8 in the 2025 season opener, Dallas became the fastest NJCAA coach to reach 50 wins in the association's history, doing so in 55 games.
Dallas also won the ACCFCA National Coach of the Year award in 2022, a national runner-up season for Hutchinson and in 2024, a season where the Dragons won their second national championship.
In addition to his many accolades, Dallas has also been named the NJCAA National Coach of the Year twice.
The 2025 award will be presented during the 2026 AFCA Convention on Monday, January 12 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
