OSWALT LEADS BLUE DRAGONS IN REGION VI CHAMPIONSHIP

FINAL REGION VI CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS

COLBY – Freshman Collin Oswalt had a Top 20 finish to lead Hutchinson Community College men's cross country team at the Region VI Cross Country Championships at Lakeside Golf Course on Saturday in Colby.

Oswalt played 16th overall with a time of 25:54.41. His time was the 13th best among Jayhawk West runners.

Hutchinson had only four runners competing on Saturday and wasn't able to post a team score. Colby was the Region VI and Jayhawk West team champion. Northwest Tech's Vincent Nchogu was the men's individual champion.

Sophomore Andrew Holt was the second Blue Dragon to finish. Holt was 27th overall and 20th in the Jayhawk West with a time of 27:08.37.

Freshman Camilo Turin ran a time of 27:32.74 to finish 31st in the region and 23rd in the Jayhawk West. Turin ran 26 second faster than he did on the Lakeside course at the Region VI preview in late September

Sophomore Aaron Geissinger had his fourth-straight PR of the season with a time of 27:59.81. That time was six second faster than his first race on the Lakeside course. Geissinger played 41st in the region and 28th in the conference.
