Freshman Azariah Dawes and sophomore Aiyanna Green had top performances for the Hutchinson Community College women's track and field team at the Coach Wilson Invitational on Friday at Wichita State's Heskett Center.
Dawes was the women's long jump runner-up on Friday posting a season's best jump of 17 feet, 7 inches (14.72 meters).

Green posted a career best in the women's weight throw. She finished fifth with a throw of 48 feet, 4 inches (14.72 meters), which is the sixth-best threw in Blue Dragon women's indoor history.
Sophomore Yaya Moreno finished fifth in the long jump with a career-best jump of 16-8 3/4 (5.10 meters).
Freshman Janiel Montaque posted a PR in the weight throw with an eighth-place distance of 46-4 (14.12 meters).
The Blue Dragons will be split at two meets on Saturday, competing at the Coach Wilson Invitational and the Washburn Open in Topeka.
